Join us at Hadsham Farm this October where we're all about the pumpkin - growing it, picking it, eating and celebrating it!

Our Pumpkin Festival 2024 includes the following:

  •  The Pumpkin Pick

    • Collect a sledge and head to the pumpkin patch where you can choose your perfect pumpkin. There are a variety of types and sizes which are priced between £1 and £10 each.

  • The Pumpkin Barn

    • Here you can collect a carving kit to transform your pumpkins. Please note that pumpkin carving can be dangerous and is therefore only for adults over 16 years old. We encourage u16s to get involved in designing the pumpkin and removing the inside pulp and seeds. There will be also pens available to decorate your pumpkin (parents/carers are advised that some pens are not be washable and may stain, so please dress accordingly).

    • Crafting area. Keep busy in the craft area which includes colouring and decorating pumpkins.

    • The Grocer's display - a selection of carefully picked pumpkins that are best for eating, perfect for those who don't want to pick one from the field.

    • Hadsham cafe with its famous yummy cakes and new for this year, the Pumpkin Munchery.

  • The Pumpkin Munchery

    • Our Pumpkin cooks have been hard at work in the munchery, busy magicking up delicious pumpkin dishes. You can chat to the cooks, taste the delicious dishes (from pumpkin soup, to pumpkin cake, to pumpkin pickle) and take away new ideas for pumpkin feasting.

  • Goblin Hunt

    •  It is well know that every pumpkin patch is plagued by Pumpkin Goblins searching for and stealing pumpkins. The Goblins are terrible, messy creatures and they cause a lot of damage. The farmers spend hours each night chasing them away. We ask our visitors to help in the mission, and you may even catch sight of one.

  • The Goblin Launch
    • Goblins are notoriously hard to catch, but when they do, the farmers launch them in the Trebuchet (a type of catapult). This doesn't hurt the Goblins, but it gets rid of them for a little while!

  • Spooky sensory trail

    • Use your five senses to explore the wooded area on the farm. The trail is approximately 400m long; although it is flat, off-road pushchairs are advised.

  • Build a scarecrow

    • Help scare the Goblins away by teaming up with your friends/family to build a scarecrow. Don't forget to take a scarecrow selfie!

  • The Pumpkin Bale Maze

    • Find your way through the maze and find the multi coloured pumpkins. Designed for smaller children.

  • The Golden Pumpkin

    • Every day, a Golden Pumpkin appears on the farm. If you beat the Goblins in finding it, you win your family a prize!

  • Indoor sandpit play area and outdoor playground.

You will need wellies/boots and coats. The pumpkin field is likely to be muddy and there is no heating in the barns/indoor areas.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The main barns and toilets are on hard standing and wheelchair accessible. Off road pushchairs and wheelchairs are advised for the sensory walk and pumpkin patch.

Strictly no smoking on the farm and surrounding areas.

We do not allow dogs, sorry.

We look forward to welcoming you to the farm!
